In accordance with the Foundation’s mission and vision our programs are structured in three main areas:

Urban Kaláka
The community falls apart without open public spaces. We prefer to visit places where we feel good. Cosiness can only be created by us. That’s why we support the transformation and renovation of outdoor and indoor community areas.
Run for It!
There are so many good-willed and initiating groups in the Odorhei that help the life of our community. In most cases, they do not have the resources and are unable to reach those interested. That’s why, through a fundraising sporting event, we help 20-30 non-governmental organizations each year to act.
Heuréka Fund
Our youngsters are easily lost because the educational system does not offer a colorful/adventoruos learning experience. That’s why we support after-school educational projects for middle school kids, which make science, technology and mathematics attractive.

Charitable community
If the goal is clear and noble, the realization can be followed, and it feels good to be part of a team. We are developing a donor circle of mindful donors, who contribute monthly to the OSCF and create a support fund that is awarded once a year. They give and decide to create a better community.

If you haven’t experienced it, you won’t believe it that philantrophy can lift up your heart! That’s why we organize a fundraising gala once a year, where you can meet caring people, talk in a relaxed atmosphere, and support 3 local projects.
Donation voucher
Similar to a shopping voucher, a donation voucher is a gift that offers the joy and freedom of giving. This voucher can be used to support community initiatives that create positive change.
Opportunity Fund
We believe that young people represent an important value in the Odorhei region community, and that through education they can become members of the community who positively influence its development. Therefore, we aim to support students with good academic results who are at risk of dropping out of school due to their family’s low income.

Though it is really demolishing to live in this accelerated society, we can’t put our head in the sand, because we’ll just get more isolated. So, the OSCF tries to use its benefits, with the help of a 48 hours volunteer work of some IT teams, this way responding to community problems with digital solutions.

The power of co-operation and charity was unbeliavable in this fundraising. We have tried to bring to the spot the problems, like what could it mean if a baby arrives too early, and the importance of changing this together. We are absolutely grateful for the achievement.
YouthBank
Our project for high schoolers taught the growing generation to be part of the community. The main objective of this program is to educate these youngsters to take responsibility and to be part of the community. We have offered them the opportunity to taste the feeling of fundraising and its efficient distribution, preparing them to develop and implement a project that can be realized from an idea.
Community Card
Most of the time we really would like to help our community, but it’s not always as simple as it sounds. We have invented a special community loyalty card program, which is also community marketing. Entrepreneurs + customers = promoting our local affairs by local decision.

The Community Foundation of Odorheiu Secuiesc and the supporters of the TrustCapital Fund are launching a new and unique opportunity. Our call is addressed to individuals from Odorheiu Secuiesc, initiative groups, and civil organizations who find it important and wish to actively contribute to making the city a family-friendly, environmentally conscious, and livable place.

At the end of 2020, twelve members of the Local Council decided to establish a support fund through monthly donations from a portion of their councilor allowances, with the aim of financing development initiatives in Odorheiu Secuiesc. By the end of 2021, this circle of supporters had grown to 14 donors.

The Emergency Fund is a financial fund established to ensure the fastest and most effective assistance possible in community crisis situations occurring in the Odorhei region.

The events unfolding in Ukraine and the escalating war situation affect the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia, as well as Berehove (Beregszász), the twin town of Odorheiu Secuiesc.

Bottlecap HEART
The joint plastic cap collection program of Color Metal LTD and the OSCF has a double purpose:
- To clean out and protect our environment, raise awareness and educate our community about it;
- Selling the collected caps and creating a support fund to support community initiatives, to protect the environment and natural values and to promote a healthy lifestyle in Odorhei
The Worth Living Odorhei
In 2015, a movement was launched between civil society organizations, entrepreneurs and individuals in the field of environmental protection and healthy living. It has been organically built since then. Such projects are part of it, like: „Bike to School training program, a marked hiking trail around Odorhei, and the Odorhei Performance Hike (uTT). Exploring the day-to-day problems of small villages far from rural village centers and mobilizing local human, social and natural resources, local knowledge of small communities to solve local problems and assist the development of own settlement.

A historically valuable cooperation begins with the Civil Triangle for Community Philanthropy project, in the framework of which a collaboration is launched between the regions of Odorhei, Ciuc and Gheorgheni.
