March 25th was the deadline for all those individuals, initiative groups, and NGOs to apply for the Donor Circle gala event, who would willing to help the local community with a community project. Every year, the members of the Charitable Community decide which three initiatives will enter the event, and thus, in addition to the support of the Charitable Community, they have a chance to collect more donations.

This year there were six applicants, out of which three were chosen. The decision was not easy, the main criteria was that the project activities should improve the life of the local community and also should affect as many people as possible.

The following three initiatives entered to the 2022 Donor Circle gala event:

Pilgrim Horserider: long-term service from occasional help

project manager: Lóránd Sándor Demeter

The target group of the project is injured young adults and their family members. In the case of the injured, the problem to be solved is the development of abilities and skills with the help of horses, and for family members, the possibility of relaxation in a soothing natural and sacred environment.

The aim of the project is to provide horse-based therapeutic therapy for the injured, and experience-based therapy for their family members. This, all together would be a therapy for the soul. The Pilgrim Horserider’s partner in this work is Soul Lifting Talks with Katalin Újvárosi. This way it will be possible to receive Christian spiritual care in addition to the horse riding. So, thats how occasional help can turn into long-term service.

Red. Production: Evaluation

project manager: Albert Orsolya

The project wants to respond to the lack of culture caused by Covid in the past 2 years, both from the perspective of the viewer and the artist, because both sides have realized during the quarantine how much we need those unforgettable experiences, community programs and catharsis caused by artworks.

It is addressed to all the culture-loving and consuming generation, who would attend an exhibition opening, a theater performance or any cultural event at the same time.

The aim of the project is to offer an overall artistic experience, which presents an exciting, dynamic performance of the works of contemporary artists from Transylvania, thus creating a dialogue between visual arts, literature and theater. Furthermore, it is considered important to show and highlight contemporary artists from Odorhei/Transylvania. Their hidden goal is to attract the audience – who so far only attended book presentations – to the theaters (and vice versa), and to raise people’s need for culture.

Motivál Association: TÉT- Teenagers on the “Taboo Train” of Life

project manager: Éva Blénessy

In today’s digital world, honest, confidential conversations with teenagers take a back seat. Youngsters looking for answers often get responses from superficial or wrong sources. Topics they want to discuss are self-esteem, adolescence, sexuality, harmful passions and responsibility. Different trends can easily seduce curious children, so they consider it important to shed light on the real values, which can moderate their relationship with the online world. Hopefully at the end of the day those youngsters will be able to talk about their doubts and questions in “real” 3D.

The aim of the project is to help adolescents from the Odorhei region to find their true self, to promote the experience of real relationships, and to get answers to the questions they have about these topics from real and authentic people.

The next step will be that communication specialists will help the project managers to prepare for the Donor Circle event, which will take place on May 12th in the concert hall of the Odorhei Cultural Center.
