558 Ambassadors Support Local Community Initiatives

This year will be the 10^th anniversary for the Run for IT!, as this is the 10th time that the Odorheiu Secuiesc Community Foundation has organized an “outside the box” fundraising sports event.

In the first year, only 38 ambassadors took part in the project and there were 7 participating organizations. Since then, a total of 2,106 people have joined as ambassadors, helping to raise donations for the community. The number of projects nominated during the first nine Run For IT! is 191.

These datas speak for themselves. This year 558 people have decided to run, walk or bike, better said they stand up for a community cause. This is a record number of ambassadors in the Run For IT!’s history.

The number of registered organizations this year is 33, which is quite significant. Three years ago 35 projects participated in this project.

This year is also special in the sense that a local company, Impar LTD has taken on the role of the main sponsor. This would be a double celebration, because is not only the Run For IT!’s anniversary, but Impar is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Ignác Barabás, the Impar LTD’s CEO explained why they decided to join the Run For IT! as the main sponsor this year: “IMPAR is committed to contributing to the development of the community. We believe that a commitment to noble goals will make our present and future much more lovable and livable, as well as improve our desire to stay and return home.

As a local business, we consider the green environment very important. The company’s values in this regard are also intertwined with the objectives of the fundraising program, which works to build a vibrant and value-conscious, caring and active community. We the think Run for IT! forms a community of healthy individuals, setting an example for future generations, so we encourage everyone to contribute as an ambassador or supporter to the success of the event. ”

Not only does Impar support the event financially, but it also had 28 ambassadors to raise donations for a good cause, while was hosting the Community Foundation’s project as well.

The fundraising period is still in process, grants can be offered until October 10th by clicking on fussneki.ro. The highlight of the event will be on October 10th, as this is the day when all the ambassadors will start to cover their mileage.
