Community building and environmental protection – this was our motto for Saturday morning. The Color Metal Company was the first to join the Green Footprint initiative of Odorheiu Secuiesc Community Foundation and Zetea Forest Police Department.
The project aims to help environmentally conscious companies by supporting the planting of seedlings which clean the air, have a high biodiversity value and live for more than 100 years.
The Color Metal Company by participating in this project, aims to neutralize the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by their activities as much as possible. About 30 employees of the company participated in the project, planting nearly 200 gentle chestnut seedlings with their families.
The project will also include a GPS map that will include all the locations where the 500 seedlings was planted. Will be back with the details soon.
