The Charitable Community has decided which 3 local initiatives are eligible for this year’s DONOR CIRCLE to raise funds. These are initiatives that will bring about a positive change in the lives of many person and will contribute to the development of the community. Here come the winners:
Early-miracles, early-family
The Purple Development project is primarily aimed for families with premature kids, but also seeks to raise awareness among the general public about the “problem” of premature delivery, as statistics from Odorhei indicate that the incidence of premature delivery is between 6% and 9%. Their goal is to bring together premature families so that parents who face the same or similar problem can meet within different parent groups: to share their pains and difficulties.
These meetings will also be attended by professionals who can provide assistance. At the same time, they also plan to organize public events where they can inform the community about this topic.
Future Makers 2.0
The Harghita Business Center’s project for high schoolers, more specifically for 9th graders is about continuing education for groups of students who have already participated in the first phase of the program. In the course of the training, the students use their own experience, they learn what risk means, and develop their ability to cooperate and be creative. The main goal of the project is to develop the entrepreneurial personality of high school students and to experience the system of enterpreneureship.
KARöltve
Kelemen Boróka’s initiative is to help special kids and their families. The aim of the project is to find a supportive community for families with disabilities. She wants to provide professional help in finding their inner peace. This is achieved primarily through art and dog therapy and the formation of a group of affected mothers.
We’ll begin working together and preparing for the Donor Circle this week, which will be held on March 19th, from 6 PM.
