We launched our “I arrived too early … help me!” fundraising campaign in April of 2018, in cooperation with the Mothers’ Community from Odorhei.
The campaign started with the aim of providing the preborn (and not just) babies with the best chance to stay in life at the Odorhei region.
Therefore, we would like to purchase devices with high quality technology such as a mobile incubator, a special monitor, a hearing aid, or a breathing aid.
We have created several options to help those who wish to contribute to our goal:
- collection boxes were placed in Odorhei’s several stores,
- by sending text messages,
- an online donation site was also available at the SZKA Fundraising Portal (www.give-get-do.ro).
The community has donated 34,000 RON to the development of the child restraint service. After discussing with the doctors working at the Newborn Division of the Odorhei Hospital, it was decided to buy an incubator from this amount of money. In about 6-8 weeks, the supplier agrees to purchase and equip the device.
We are confident that, as a result of this community engagement, the new year will begin with new hopes for mothers and newborns as well.
