The Odorheiu Secuiesc Community Foundation starts a new series of interviews, within presents some short stories of donors in form of text interview. The goal of the series is to makes understandable and gets closer the donation and the pleasure of the donation to the people.
- How did you contact with the Odorheiu Secuiesc Community Foundation?
I didn’t get in touch with the Community Foundation but I was present and I am present since its inception.
When Chris Worman and his ex-wife came in Odorhei first, we were their host, they lived with us one month. They were in Odorhei for six years and during this time it formed a deep friendship between us, they are the godparents of my son.
- Why did you decide to donate? What did motivate you to donate/support the OSCF/one program of the OSCF?
Chris liked this community and he started thinking about how he can create a community foundation. I started to help him, we contacted the local entrepreneurs, I contacted him with the company, where I work.
My contribution was automatic, I helped my friend to implement his plans. When started the Foundation I was graphic designer and I made some poster for the Foundation.
- Could you implicate in the program beyond that you are donor? How?
Yes, I implicated in the first programs too. We joined more programs, but mostly we join the „Kalaka” programs because we should participate with the whole family. We often go on the events of the Foundation.
- What kind of effect has the donation to your life?
By all means had an impact on my life and on my family’s life, but we talking about a community foundation, I think that maybe shouldn’t have effects to the persons, but more on the community. The donation fully integrated into my life. All people has to live to donate, they should feel better after this.
We are happy with my family that we are part of this, because we know that we support a Foundation which expend the donation for a good goal, even if it’s small, because from many of the little will be many and is worth working for this.
