The Foundation for Civil Society Development Foundation (FCSD) organized a new edition of the NGO Fest. The event took place in Bucharest, at the Romanian National Library (on the 8th of May), and an outdoor event was held at Herăstrău Park (9th, 1oth o May) with the participation of more than 160 organizations from all around the country.
Each organization presented its activities by specific programs and an exhibition.
We took part on this event as well where we presented the TGE network (Transnational Giving Europe). Here we had a chance to inform the civic organizations about the benefits of using the TGE network for transnational donations. In its member countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, France, The Netherlands, Ireland, Poland, Luxemburg, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Romania, Switzerland, Slovakia and Slovenia) the TGE network not only acquired considerable experience but also offers tax relief for those using the system.
The feedback shows that many organizations have already heard about the activity of the TGE, and would gladly use the opportunities offered in the near future.
