The Pro Down Foundation (who practice social services in the multifunctional center named Pearl-House) aim was to increase the tools of this center.
Applying the You Choose found they won 3000 RON (EUR 680). This amount was enough to buy a candle making equipment and materials.
With these tools they organize special programs for people with disabilities to help them in integration, developing their independence in their way of life and their positive attitude to work.
As they got the tools they already made candles in different colors and shapes. The productive working give the young people with disabilities encouragement, increase their self-confidence, their creativity, their manual skills, help them in getting through the social problems.
In the first candle making activity has participated 10 people from the Pearl-House community, the team leaders and the parents. The foundation have the intension to organize more activities like this in the future.
