Starting from 1st September, the Community Card can’t be used in Szuper and Merkur stores in Odorheiu Secuiesc, Miercurea Ciuc and Târgu Mureş. The company has officially informed the civil partners of the three cities and regions. After eight years of cooperation, the company suspended the program. They consider several reasons among them: they want to build their own customer database, for this purpose they also consider the possibility of introducing a new loyalty card, and last but not least, the current financial situation of the company does not allow their participation in the program.

The Community Card Program was invented and launched by the Odorheiu Secuiesc Community Foundation in 2009, with the current management of Elan Trio.

From the Community Fund raised by using of Community Cards we have developed and managed four funding programs: You decide!, Kis Góbé Fund, Good Idea, Merkur Fund. Over the past eight years, we have invested more than 625,000 lei in local community projects in many areas, contributing to positive changes that have affected the lives of over 10,000 people in the Odorhei region.

Meanwhile, several companies have joined the program, where the community card can still be used today: Harmopan, Petry, Mátyus Dental Centrum, Réka Pharmacy. The number of card users has increased from year to year. There are 15,000 card users in the Odorhei region, but we can count around 100,000 community card users nationwide. Currently there are new local entrepreneurs in the accession process.

Over the past two years we have invested in the technical development of the program. Thanks to it, the program has a mobile app (can be downloaded from Google Play by visiting here), which offers a unique direct marketing opportunity; has a bilingual web page (www.kozossegikartya.ro, www.cardcomunitar.ro) and a back-up system that allows business partners to analyze customer buying habits. The program has already surpassed the city and the region.
